Construction Budgeting 101

Construction Budgeting (Tribal RoadStar Program - Course 2) Construction Budgeting 101 provides an overview of typical construction delivery systems and the planning and contracting associated with both fixed price and cost reimbursable.

Course Objectives:

  • Define and estimate line item expenses
  • Calculate administrative and indirect costs
  • Calculate profit
  • Manage line items
  • Financial reporting
  • Closing and Compliance auditing

The course will also examine contract cost elements such as reasonable costs of performing contract, cost of preparing contract proposal, auditing costs, indirect or administrative support costs, profit, and consultants. Participants will have the opportunity to work with sample budgets and spreadsheets.
