Bridge Preservation Training - Low Cost Maintenance to Save Bridges

The AASHTO TSP-2 program, in partnership with the Oklahoma LTAP, is pleased to announce a Bridge Preservation Training for Local Agencies.  The 90-minute course is specifically designed as an introductory to understanding the basics of bridge preservation and is geared towards meeting the needs of local agencies. 

The TSP-2 program will provide virtual training at no cost to the hosting Agency. Participants will gain a general understanding of why preservation is important, how to identify good candidates for preservation, what activities are available and an idea of cost and degree of difficulty with performing the work. A variety of examples have been developed to help participants understand the importance of incorporating these bridge preservation activities into their work plan. 

1.5 hours of continuing education credits will be provided by Michigan State University upon completion of the training.
This training is an excellent means to begin to develop an effective asset management plan for a local agency.  Bridge preservation activities are "practices that we can't afford not to do now."
